NW Houston Armed Forces Reserve Center + Joint Vehicle Maintenance Facility

The building’s conception came at a time when base closures forced some military installations in Texas to close permanently, officials said.

The building, which sits on 18 acres, houses a total of 11 Army Reserve and National Guard units from the region. It features a gym, five classrooms, a distance learning center, a library and a weapons-simulation room for field artillery units.

The vehicle maintenance facility consists of multiple military vehicle bays with multi-ton overhead crane heavy equipment capabilities, exhaust systems, repair and maintenance apparatus.
