PROJECT MANAGER / ARCHITECT I

The Architect I / Project Manager is responsible for a broad range of activities including initial site investigation, the procurement of construction documents, and construction observation activities. They are the team leader for concurrent projects in various stages of design and construction and is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of technical personnel and coordinating the work of project consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize project schedules and delivery process milestones
  • Lead design team with development of design and procurement of documents
  • Direct and instruct inner-office technical personnel with specific tasks
  • Research building components, systems, and technologies for incorporation
  • Coordinate the services of other design professionals
  • Resolve constructability conflicts and secure regulatory approvals
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors (written and oral)
  • Assist with project bidding, negotiate and prepare contracts for construction
  • Manage submittals, RFI’s, and change orders during construction

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a professional degree in architecture from an accredited university
  • Must have 5 to 10 years of project management experience
  • Must demonstrate a high level of competency regarding building technologies and the development of Construction Documents
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Significant construction administration experience
  • Specification writing experience
  • Proficiency in Revit & BIM360
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Registered Architect a plus
  • Near licensure or currently Registered
  • A proficient use of Revit 2017 or newer in an office setting
Revit is our primary drafting software and is used exclusively throughout the design and project documentation phases
  • Thorough knowledge of construction, building technology, structures, and code
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Use of 3D modeling software, Revit 2017 or newer, Photoshop, Word, Excel, SketchUp, Lumion
  • 8 years or more of experience in an Architectural office
